Sells without a connection
The till takes payment and records the sale locally, then syncs when the network returns. Selling never waits on the internet.
Richie Retail is an offline-first point of sale built for real shops in real conditions: installable on PC and phone, with a live cart, barcode scanning, printed receipts and automatic sync when the connection returns.
Most point-of-sale software assumes a connection. In practice, connections drop, and a till that freezes at the counter is a queue, a lost sale and an angry customer. The business need was simple: selling must keep working, no matter what the network is doing.

Offline was not treated as an error case to handle. It was designed as the normal case, with the connection as a bonus.
The till takes payment and records the sale locally, then syncs when the network returns. Selling never waits on the internet.
One product the shop can install, not a website the staff have to hope loads.
Barcode scanning and quick product lookup so a queue keeps moving at the counter.
A customer still walks out with proof of purchase, online or offline.
Every sale reduces stock, so the count reflects reality rather than an afterthought.
Once the connection returns, local sales sync and reconcile without double-counting.

The screen below is the owner's view: what sold, what is left, and where the day stands. The same system sits behind the counter on the till.

These screens are captured from the working application. Richie Retail is currently in development: it runs and is being refined, and is not presented here as a finished, deployed client installation. We would rather show you something real and current than a polished mock-up.
